Full Academic Support

Asher provides full academic support for all middle and high school subjects. He also works with college and adult students in his areas of specialization: Math, Science, Engish and Music. He can immediately help with homework completion, grade recovery and test preparation with regular tutoring sessions, or assist with longer-term goals such as closing learning gaps, recovering grades, developing homeschool and GED curriculum, or achieving college and career goals.

Math: not pure evil

Asher has never met a student who loves math. Many would even go so far as to say they hate it. But after decades of tutoring, he's witnessed nearly every student grow to enjoy it, surprising themselves by how good they can be!

Many students have perceived math through the lens of punishment, failure or shame. With a cumulative subject like math, it's easy to fall behind. Asher adjusts his methods to the individual, focusing on logic, foundations and encouragement. He helps them see with fresh eyes and become confident they're capable of being good at math.

Students can be assured they'll be fully accepted, especially LGBTQ+ students and those with mental health diagnoses. (His previous experience includes working with students who have ADHD, Anxiety/Depression, Asbergers and Autism.) Asher works with state agencies, schools, counselors and guardians to advocate for accommodations and provides custom learning experiences.
