“I didn't expect my weekly sessions with Asher to symbolize a safe 'remote' learning space in the midst of Covid-19 but that's what has happened; he's always very understanding and kind in a way that I can tell runs deeper than politeness, so, if I'm struggling with material (which is often the case) I don't feel ashamed of it . That has helped me do well in the class. I'd recommend Asher to anyone of any level but especially to people who might be apprehensive about tutoring because (just speaking from my own experience) I've encountered less sensitive tutors who might just be super good at the subject but explain it in a way that goes beyond me. Asher's good at explaining but is not patronizing which is great. Lucky to be working with Asher on a pre calc class as a returning student who felt extremely out of practice but actually has fun with math these days!!”
